TWD: Sunflower and Date Alien Grabbers

hello i am granolagon, an alien from the planet oopso. i have arrived on your counter top to alert you to the perils of ignoring even small hints from dorrie greenspan, author of the book, baking, from my home to yours. if you do not flatten the granola grabbers, (this week's recipe pick for tuesdays with dorrie) then you will end up with a tray of aliens like myself. fortunately, although i am shaped like an alien pod, i am still tasty. here is the story of how i came into being... it begins with some rainforest granola, mixed with chopped dates, coconut, wheat germ, and sunflower seeds.
then came the butter and sugar, one egg, and a bit of whole wheat pastry flour. it's easy to scoop out granolagon aliens like myself- or any other cookie- with a melon baller. at last, a tray of tiny aliens is ready to eat you. oh no, did the cook finally remember to flatten the cookies? where have all my brother and sister granolagons gone? i must quickly return to the planet oopso before i, too, am targeted by the evil human spatula.
And mighty tasty he was.

Granolagon is an awesome character name, and I may have to steal it. Or just eat it.

I saw the title of this post and went - "uuhhh, wha?" Until, that is, I saw your first picture. Then all I could do was laugh.

Oh, and P.S. the cinnamon chips I used were Hershey's brand. I got them in the same section as the choco. chips.
